Cautires lineatus (Pic, 1921), comb. n.; a junior secondary homonyme of Cautires lineatus (Hope in Gray, 1831: 26) (described as Omalysus lineatus).

Type material. Female, holotype. [Indonesia] Java occident., Sukabumi, 2000’, 1893, H. Fruhstorfer (MHNP).

Etymology. The specific epithet is a patronym in honour of the collector of this species.
