Lectotype (Lassen in Turland & Jarvis in Taxon 46: 482. 1997): Herb. Linn. No. 930.47, right specimen (LINN) .

Current name: Trifolium striatum L. ( Fabaceae: Faboideae).

Note: Zohary (in Candollea 27: 133. 1972), followed by later authors, indicated Löfling 565, Herb. Linn. 930.45 (LINN) as a syntype. As it was not explicitly cited in the protologue, this collection cannot be a syntype and Lassen, because of doubts over the precise date of receipt of this material by Linnaeus, designated another collection in LINN as the lectotype.
