Current name: Dioscorea communis (L.) Caddick & Wilkin ( Dioscoreaceae).

Note: Kit Tan cited Herb. Tournefort No. 283 (P) as an isotype. Although this collection was not studied by Linnaeus, in the absence of any original material for the name, Kit Tan’s statement is accepted as a neotypification (Art. 9.8).
