Thlaspi alpestre Linnaeus, Species Plantarum, ed. 2, 2: 903. 1763, nom. illeg.

"Habitat in Austria. Stamina flore longiora." RCN: 4705.

Lectotype (Marhold & Mártonfi in Cafferty & Jarvis in Taxon 51: 536. 2002): Herb. Linn. No. 825.14 (LINN) .

Current name: Thlaspi caerulescens J. Presl & C. Presl ( Brassicaceae).

Note: A later homonym of T. alpestre Jacq. (1762) and hence illegitimate. There has been some confusion in the way the Linnaean name has been either used or synonymised (see review by Kerguélen & al. in Lejeunia n.s., 120: 175. 1987), which was clarified by the typification made by Marhold & Mártonfi .
