Nipponoserica opacicarina Kim & Kim, 2003a: 76; new synonymy.

Additional material examined. 7 specimens " China: Hubei Dahiongshan 1700 m Shuizhou VI-2003 leg. Ying et al." (CA).

Remarks. The figures of Nipponoserica opacicarina in Kim & Kim (2003a) are virtually identical to the same structures of Nipponoserica koltzei (Reitter, 1897) . Consequently Nipponoserica opacicarina should be regarded as a junior synonym of the latter species.
