Common name. Filyos spirlin.
Diagnosis. Distinguished from other species of Alburnoides in Mediterranean, Marmara, and Black Sea basins by: ○ ventral keel usually completely scaleless, rarely with 1–3 scales / ○ 7−8 gill rakers / ○ body depth at dorsal origin usually greater than head length / ○ horizontal eye diameter smaller than interorbital distance / ○ snout slightly pointed / ○ mouth terminal, upper and lower lips equally projecting / ○ 46−53+2−3 lateral-line scales / ○ 13−14½ branched anal rays. Size up to 101 mm SL.
Distribution . Türkiye: Filyos drainage.
Habitat. Small rivers and streams with moderate to fast-flowing water and gravel substrate.
