Gonatopus neotropicus (Olmi): nec Tetrodontochelys neotropicus (Olmi): Olmi, 1993: 81. Pseudogonatopus pecki Olmi, 1991: 316 .

Variability. The surface of the head varied from fully smooth to weakly granulate. The surface of the pronotum also varied from smooth to granulate with a few striae on the sides (pronotum of examined paratype fully smooth, without striae). The surface between the striae of the metathorax+propodeum varied from smooth to granulate.

Distribution. Brazil (first record), and Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, Venezuela.
