General distribution. Endemic to Hispaniola.
Distribution in the DR. Cordillera Central, Independencia and Barahona (Fig 2. A).
Habitat. Elevation 650–1100 m asl. The insect generally flies at low elevations in areas that are heavily forested. It appears to be local but can be extremely frequent where it is found (Fig 9. F).
Host plants. Probably Rubiaceae .
