Genus Euconocephalus Karny, 1907

Euconocephalus Karny, 1907 . Abh. Zool.-bot. Ges. Wien 4(3):39 (as subgenus of Conocephalus Thunberg 1815)

The morphological characters given here for the diagnosis are those of Bailey (1980).

Fastigium extending beyond antennal base, elongate, not pointed at apex; notch between fastigium and frons distinct. Pronotum with lateral keels strong, hind invagination marked. Tegmina long, extending over tip of ovipositor. Ovipositor long, straight.

Type species: Euconocephalus acuminata (Fabricius, 1775)
