Pomponia intermedia, Boulard, 2001b: 83, type location in Distant (1905b) is on border of Thai province of Chiang Mai; North Thailand.

Megapomponia intermedia, Boulard, 2005e: 95, 99, 102, north Thailand; type location is across border of Thailand province of Rantchaburi; Province of Chiang Mai, about 60 km north of town; northwest Thailand.

Taxonomy: Boulard (2005e) transferred this species to Megapomponia when the genus was described. Material Examined: AFSC – Wiang Papao, Chiang Rai. TAMU – Chiang Mai. CUIC – Chiang Mai Province, Huai Kaeo (~ 4 km NW of Chiang Mai), 18o 48’N 98o 57’E, Altitude ~ 350 m.

Distribution: Thailand, India, Burma, and Indochina (Metcalf, 1963b; Duffels and van der Laan, 1985).
