Comments.
The type locality of A. octumaculalus is in Changjiang County, Hainan Province. The type specimens were not examined because this species was well described and illustrated (Han and Zhu 2010), and both male and female specimens of this species from nearby localities in Hainan were examined. The new combination is based on the following characters of Aoaraneus: long, wrinkled and flexible scape with bent tip; long terminal and subterminal apophyses, median apophysis with apical and basal projections; male endite with lateral tooth, male coxa I with ventral hook, and male femur II with groove.
