Remarks.

This taxon was recorded for Jeju-do (Yamada and Choe 1997) and identified many times in unpublished collections; however, all so-named specimens checked by us are characterized by acute lobes with persistent cells with moderate size trigones along the leaf margin. These features are characteristics of Gymnommitrion faurianum . Everywhere southward of 48°N. in East Asia G. faurianum was commonly misidentified as G. corallioides (Bakalin 2016).
