Type locality. China, Hainan Prov., Qiongzhong Li and Miao Autonomous Co., Limushan Mts., Yingge Ling Mt., approx. 19°02.2′N, 109°32.5′E, 600–1740 m a.s.l.
Original type series. Described only from the holotype (LMNH).

Current status. Valid species.
Remarks. Originally described in Wallaceana Maulik, 1928 and latter transferred to Javeta Baly, 1859 by Uhmann (1958). The transfer is correct as the specimen undoubtly belong to the genus Javeta .
