Chiraplothrips Priesner

The old-world genus Chiraplothrips encompasses three species worldwide (ThripsWiki 2023), mainly described from Africa, but extended from Mediterranean region to India. In Arabian Peninsula, the genus is reported only from Yemen (zur Strassen 1990), and is new to Saudi Arabia.
