Material examined. MNCN 25.03/4311: BV15, 96 m; coll. UMA; one living colony on a bioclast; MNCN 25.03/4312: BV14, 96–100 m; coll. UMA; one living colony on a rock fragment.

Remarks. Although the absence of a complete ovicell, the colonies collected from the Alboran fit the description of the type material described from the Gulf of Cadiz (Ramalho et al. 2020b) for all remaining taxonomic features and fall in the same range size. However, the material from Gulf of Cadiz was collected in deeper water (402–495 m) than the Alboran material (96–100 m).

This is the first record of this species in Mediterranean waters.
