Paratype: MZUSP 117220: VZ11-24; one juvenile male, 294 mm DW (approximately the same DW as cited in Loboda et al. 2021); Guaratico stream, Rio Apure (tributary of Rio Orinoco), Munoz, Apure, Venezuela, 07°53'32.5"N, 68°52'49.8"W; depth not listed; F. Marques & L. Sanchez; 23 Feb 2011 .
