Clytia noliformis (McCrady, 1859)

Material examined. Stn. 6, 28.i.2012, 4– 10 m, M096: a colony on Halimeda sp., some gonothecae occur (MHNG- INVE-82918); 14.ii.2012, 10– 17 m, M197: a colony on Halimeda sp., several gonothecae present (MHNG-INVE- 82919).

Remarks. A thorough redescription of this species is available in Lindner & Migotto (2002), and an extensive list of synonyms is provided by Calder (1991).

Geographical distribution. Circumglobal (Calder 1991), though likely absent from the cold waters of both hemispheres.
