Remarks. The record of Sinodendron cylindricum (Linnaeus, 1758) from West Azarbaijan (Sakenin et al. 2008) may refer to this species. Fujita (2010) records the species from Guilan, 20 km E Khalkhal (1900 m), 13- 16.V.2000. The species was reported in Iran on Buxus sempervirens (Buxaceae) (Sakenin et al. 2008); an examined specimen was obtained from a pupa found in rotten Carpinus (Betulaceae) wood.
Dinera ferina (Fallén, 1817) ( Diptera: Tachinidae: Dexiinae: Dexiini) was collected from the larvae of Sinodendron from Ramsar (Mazandaran province). The natural history of the parasitoid was studied by Campadelli (1989).
