Etymology. The specific name is a Latin noun in apposition and refers to the equipment used by blacksmiths (anvil), whose shape is similar to the apophyses present in this species’ cymbial locking lobe (Fig. 125).
Diagnosis. Males of S. bicornia are recognized by the apophyses on the cymbial locking lobe, similar to an anvil in retrolateral view (Fig. 125). Females can be recognized by the elongate spermatheae (Fig. 128).
Description. Male (holotype). Total length: 3.46. Carapace orange, 1.84 long, 1.27 wide, 0.82 high (Fig. 123). Ocular quadrangle 1.06 long. Anterior eye row 1.06 wide and posterior 1.07 wide. Palp yellow (Figs 124‒125); RvTA projected ventrally and ITA rounded. Cymbial locking lobe with two apophyses. A dorsal, retrolateral rounded projection beneath both the embolus and the sickle-like DEA. Legs 1423, yellow, only IV with dark longitudinal stripes. Length of femur: I 1.90, II 1.19, III 1.14, IV 1.36; patella + tibia: I 2.18, II 1.43, III 1.31, IV 1.74; metatarsus + tarsus: I 1.80, II 1.25, III 1.38, IV 1.81. Spination on ventral tibia I: 2-2-0-2. Abdomen creamcolored, with a dark brown pattern of transverse stripes (Fig 123).
Female (paratype MCN 11534). Total length: 3.17. Carapace orange, 1.67 long, 0.99 wide, 0.68 high (Fig. 126). Ocular quadrangle 0.85 long. Anterior eye row 0.99 wide and posterior 0.94 wide. Legs 4132, as in male. Length of femur: I 1.10, II 0.92, III 0.90, IV 1.11; patella + tibia: I 1.44, II 1.03, III 1.00, IV 1.40; metatarsus + tarsus: I 1.11, II 0.95, III 1.07, IV 1.42. Spination as in male. Abdomen cream-colored, with dorsal pattern of dark tranverse stripes (Fig 126). Epigyne as in Figs 127‒128.
