Local distribution. Gebel Elba.

Geographical distribution. Egypt, Israel, UAE.

Specimens examined. Gebel Elba 15.III.1928 (1 female, holotype) (CUC); Israel, Arava Valley Qeture Kibbutz, Malaise 15.VI.1994, M. Irwin (1 female); UAE, Near Mahafiz, light traps 25.09N. 55.48E. A. van Harten, 21–28.VIII.2006, det. M. Hauser 2009 (2 males & 2 females), Wadi Bih dam, water traps, 22–26.III.2009, 25.48N. 56.04E. A. van Harten legit, det. M. Hauser 2009 (1 female) (MHC).

Remarks. The material from Israel and the UAE agree very well with the type specimen of Acathrito robusta .
