Distribution: Neotropical.
Records in Ecuador: Galápagos (Islas: Santa Cruz, Isabela, Fernandina).
Habitat: Isla Santa Cruz: Academy Bay, littoral zone, lagoon 1 km east of Ch. Darwin station, in litter of Sesuvium . Isla Isabela: Volcán Alcedo near fumarole, dense forest of Psychotria rufipes and Scalesia microcephala, in moist, decayed litter and humus. Fernandina: all instars; western part of the crater rim, in fumarole, moist to wet fern litter and wet moss. Arid and moist zone.
