Distribution: Brazil, Paraná.

New record for the Paraná State.

Comments: This is the first record of the species after its original description. This species also presents the lateral of the head white, as in P. latior, with the white stripe reaching the anterior coxae. Philophyllia venosa, however, presents a conspicuous yellow stain behind the eyes.
