DISTRIBUTION: SE Sudan, SW Ethiopia, S and C Kenya, N Tanzania.
SYNONYMS: albonotatus, baringoensis, behni, bergeri, bergerinae, biedermanni, dieseneri, dongilanensis, langheldi, macrocephala, manharae, marwitzi, mundorosica, nakuroensis, nasalis, ndjiriensis, ruwanae, sabakiensis, schillingsi, seringetica, wembaerensis.
COMMENTS: Groves (1969a) included thomsonii in G. cuvieri; but see also Gentry (1972:88, 90-91). Groves (1985 a, 1988) included thomsonii in G. rufifrons .
