Type species: Dichopelmus notus Keifer, 1959
Diagnosis: Body fusiform, gnathosoma of moderate size, chelicerae nearly straight; shield sub-triangular, a large acute frontal lobe projecting well over rostrum in lateral view, scapular tubercles on rear shield margin, the dorsal setae directing divergently to the rear; coxae with three pairs of setiferous tubercles; legs with normal segments and setae, empodium divided; all ventral setae present; female genital coverflap with one or two row longitudinal ridges.
