Material examined. St. 2: 1 individual; St. 11: 1 individual; St. 12: 5 individuals; St. 13: 1 individual. Distribution. Eastern Atlantic Ocean (San Martín et al. 1996); Aegean Sea (Simboura & Zenetos 2005); Adriatic Sea (present data) and Sea of Sardinia (present data), Western Mediterranean.

Remarks. The examined individuals perfectly correspond to the original description (San Martín et al., 1996). This is the first occurrence of this species in Italian waters.
