Type locality. Turkey: “ Klein-Asien, Urfa, V.67, leg. Gusenleitner und Schmidt, ♀ Type in Coll. m., ♀ Paratype in Coll. Schmidt ”.

Holotype, ♀: Urfa 21.5.1967 Türkei leg. J. Gusenleitner // ♀ Type Hedychridium Ab. urfanum Lins. Linsenmaier 1968 // 297 // NML _ ENT GBIF _ Chr0009547 (ex type-collection).

Remarks. Linsenmaier labelled one male specimen in his collection as the allotype, bearing the following labels: Peloponnes, Geraki 2.5.1996 (Casiro) leg. W. Arens // ♂ Type Hedychridium Ab. urfanum Lins. Linsenmaier 1997 // NML_ENT GBIF_Chr000954. This specimen is not part of the type series because it was collected after the original description.
