Type locality. Turkey: “ Klein-Asien, Ulu Dag 1500 m, ♀ Type leg. Bytinski-Salz (an Oxybelus -Kolonie) in Coll. m.”.
Holotype, ♀: Uludag 1500m Turkey 12.8.1951 leg. Bytinski-Salz // ♀ Type Hedychridium Ab. krajniki turceyanus Lins. Linsenmaier det. 1963 // 217 // NML _ ENT GBIF _ Chr0009504 (ex type-collection).
Remarks. Hedychridium krajniki turceyense Linsenmaier, 1968 stat. nov. is here upgraded to species rank because the size is costantly larger, the sculpture of mesonotum is distinctly smaller, and the colour pattern is different, with fully red pronotum and scutellum, and golden metanotum. It is a member of a Turanic species distributed from Anatolia to Central Asia (data unpubl.) which only superficially resemble the European H. krajniki Balthasar, 1946 .
