Holopyga (Chamaeholopyga) atrata: present paper.

Type locality. Turkey: “ Klein-Asien, Mut, V.67, leg. Schmidt, ♀ Type in Coll. m., ♀ Paratype in Coll. Schmidt ”.

Holotype, ♀: Mut Asia minor 27.–30.V.1967 leg. Jos. Schmidt // ♀ Type Hedychridium Ab. atratum Lins. Linsenmaier det. 1968 // 299 // NML _ ENT GBIF _ Chr0009747 (ex type-collection).

Remarks. The allotype designation by Linsenmaier (1987) is invalid because it was based on a specimen not included in the original description. Linsenmaier (1968) described this species in the Hedychridium monochroum group, nevertheless it belongs to Chamaeholopyga Linsenmaier, 1987 . This species is strictly related to Chamaeholopyga rubrinigra Linsenmaier, 1987 from Israel. It can be separated from the latter by mesosomal punctation largely separated with polished intervals (vs. dense punctation, with contiguous punctures and without interspaces in C. rubrinigra). The genus Chamaeholopyga deserves the generic status, but this will be discussed in a forecoming paper focused on Chrysididae genera.
