Hedychridium aheneum feritatum Linsenmaier, 1959b: 235 (descr.); 1969: 352 (cat., incrassatum group).

Hedychridium feritatum: Rosa 2020: 462 (elevated to species rank), 473 (figs 1, 3, 5).

Type locality. Palestine: “Palästina, ♂ Type und Paratype Coll. m., Paratypen Coll. Bytinski-Salz (verschiedene Fundorte [=different locations], VII.- VIII.)”.

Holotype, ♂: Ruhama Palestine 29.8.1949 leg. Bytinski-Salz // ♂ Type Hedychridium Ab. aheneum feritatum Lins. Linsenmaier det. 1959 // 183 // NML _ ENT GBIF _ Chr0010251 (ex type-collection).

Paratype, ♂: Palestine Kfor Ato [locality not found] 8.7. leg. Bytinski-Salz // ♂ Paratype Hedychridium Ab. aheneum feritatum Lins. Linsenmaier det. 1959 // NML _ ENT GBIF _ Chr0010243 (ex synoptic collection).

Remarks. In the type-collection, Linsenmaier labelled a female specimen as the allotype bearing the following labels: Israel Haifa 20.6.65 leg. Schlaefle // ♀ Allotype Hedychridium aheneum feritatum Lins. det. Linsenmaier 1965. This specimen was collected after the original description and does not belong to the type series. Hedychridium feritatum was upgraded to species rank by Rosa (2020).
