Hedychridium (Hedychridium) garianum Linsenmaier, 1968: 24 (descr., postthoracicum group); 1999: 71 (key, anale group), 72 (diagn., allotype design.), 88 (fig. 122).

Type locality. Lybia: “Tripolitanien, bei Garian, V.51, leg. K.M. Guichard, ♀ Type in Brit. Museum”.

Remarks. The holotype is conserved at NHMUK. Linsenmaier (1999) designated a male as the allotype, bearing the following labels: Egypte Dahschour Rég du Cairo 2.V.1958 leg. W.J. Puławski // ♂ Allotype Hedychridium Ab. garianum Lins. Linsenmaier det. 1991. Although the specimen was collected before the date of the original description, it does not belong to the type series because it was not included in the original description, identified in 1991 and designated in 1999.
