Type locality: [Colombia], Bogotá.

Type specimens: Syntypes (♂ and ♀) number not stated.

Note: The Lepidoptera collection of Philipp Christoph Zeller excluding microlepidoptera in 1883/1884 was obtained by the Natural History Museum, London, UK. The collection of microlepidoptera was also obtained by this museum (the Natural History Museum, London, UK) in the same period (1883/1884) via Lord Thomas Walsingham (Horn & Kahle 1937: 310). The microlepidoptera specimens from the collection of P.C. Zeller are absent in the Museum für Naturkunde, Berlin, Germany (pers. comm. with curator Wolfram Mey on 30 May 2016) . Part of the syntypes of the species decribed by P.C. Zeller are stored in the Finnish Museum of Natural History, Helsinki, since he exchanged material with Johan Martin Jacob von Tengström. However, the Neotropical specimens are absent in this collection (pers. comm. with curator Lauri Kaila on 22 June 2016) .

Distribution: Colombia (Zeller, 1877: 413), Guyana (Meyrick 1915b: 225).

Larval hostplant(s): Solanaceae: Brugmansia sp. (Zeller 1877: 413).
