Distribution and remarks.

This species was previously known only from a small region of Tunisia and eastern Algeria (Scheuchl et al. 2011). The discovery of this species in northern Morocco extends the range of this species approximately 1,500 km to the west. It is surprising that it has not previously been detected in Morocco because these records come from four quite geographically different provinces.
