Anotylus speculifrons (KRAATZ, 1857)

Anotylus speculifrons had been confounded with the similar Anotylus clypeonitens until the distribution of both species was revised by SCHÜLKE (2012b). According to this revision, A. speculifrons has an Attlanto-Mediterranean distribution extending eastwards to South Italy (Puglia). The specimens from Corfu represent the first records from Greece and the Balkan Peninsula.
