Rhyncaphytoptus amplus Keifer 1961b

Type host and locality. Acer platanoides L. ( Sapindaceae), Maryland, USA.

Distribution. England (recorded here), Italy (Duso et al. 2003) and USA (op. cit.).

Relation to host. Vagrant on the under surface of the leaves, causing no apparent damage.

Collection details. Wales, Pembrokeshire, Carew (51° 41ʹ 52.8ʺ N, 4° 49ʹ 53.04ʺ W), mid to low numbers on A. pseudoplatanus, collected by J. C. Ostojá-Starzewski, 08.vii.2009.
