MUSEUM MATERIAL. — USNM 533788.
STATUS. — Two subspecies present: C. d. domicella (Heuglin, 1869), Resident, and C. d. rufula (Temminck, 1835), Palaearctic migrant.
REMARKS. — Most of the authors refer to the species as a whole. According to Borrow & Demey (2014) and Pavia et al. (2012) in Burkina Faso the species is present with both the Resident African C. d. domicella and the Palaearctic migrant C. d. rufula, as documented here (Figs 22, 23).
