Diagnosis. Metope with strong median and sublateral keels not joined at its apical margin. Coryphe transverse or elongate. Brachypterous, fore wings broad, widely rounded apically, without hypocostal plate. Radius bifurcate, median simple or bifurcate, cubitus anterior simple, cubitus posterior distinct only in proximal part of wing or indistinct. Hind wings rudimentary. Hind tibia with 1–2 lateral teeth. Metatarsomere I with 5–6 intermediate socle setae.

Pygofer with deeply concave hind margin. Dorso-lateral phallobase lobes fused dorsally in dorso-apical lobe (with notch at apex in P. (R.) circularis (Linnavuori) . Each dorso-lateral phallobase lobe with hemicircular incision subapically and with process above aedeagal ventral hook on its ventral margin. The lobe also bears tooth-shaped process on its dorsal surface (in lateral view) (fig. 20a). Ventral phallobase lobe wide and short. Aedeagus with a pair of long ventral hooks that are acuminate apically. Style with convex hind margin and rounded caudo-dorsal angle. Capitulum of style small, on short neck, with large apical and lateral teeth; apical tooth bearing subapical tooth.
