Holotype. ♂ (#06006), near the 108K station, Motuo (Medog) Country, Xizang, China, 4,5. x.2010, ex Impatiens sp. (with yellow flowers), J.J. Gao (KIZ).

Paratype. 1♀ (#06007), same data as holotype (KIZ).

Ecological notes. The two specimens were found visiting yellow Impatiens flowers and collected directly from the flowers using an aspirator.

Distribution. China (Xizang).

Etymology. Pertaining to the type locality.

Remarks. This species certainly belongs to the L. denticeps group based on the overall morphology and genital structures, but is unique among the members in lacking ventral, stout spines on the cercus, which is one of the diagnostic characters of this species group.
