Material examined. Ardabil province: Meshkinshahr, 38° 23’N 47° 40’E, v.1977, leg. Kh.B, 1 specimen (HMIM) ; Fars province: 10 Km S. Dehbid, 2000m, 15.vi.2000, leg. Badii / Sarafrazi / Linnavuori, 1 specimen (HMIM) ; Kerman province: 21-23.III.1928, leg. V. Kusnezov, 1 specimen (ZIN); Khuzestan province: Minu Island, 30° 20’ N, 48° 13’E, 29.iv.1976, leg. Pazuki / Abaii, 1 specimen (HMIM) .
Distribution and habitat. The species was recorded from Transcaucasus, Iran, Afghnistan and Central Asia (Mozaffarian & Wilson 2011). According to the publication and the above examined material, the species is distributed from northwest to south and southeast of Iran (Figure 24) indicating the probable southern borders of the distribution of the species with the lowest latitude. In addition, according to the collecting data with a rather high recorded elevation for the species (2400 m by Dlabola (1984) and 2000 m in the current study) it is expected that the species should be found in the mountains of north and east of Iran as well. The only record in northwest of Iran (Fig. 24) may be connected with the southern records through Zagros mountain in the west of the country, but probably not through the central parts, which contain two big deserts (Dasht-e Lut and Dastht-e Kavir) with low altitude.
