Type locality. Costa Rica, Heredia, Estacion Biologica La Selva, 50–150m asl.

Examined material. Same locality as the holotype, 1 male, 12.iii.2005, day, fnLD2, in leaf litter (MNHN-EO- ENSIF 3588). Costa Rica, Prov. Heredia, 11 km ESE La Virgen, 250–350m, 10°21’N 84°03’W, INBio-OET transect, 6.iv.2004, 1 male, 03/M/13/073 (MNHN-EO-ENSIF3693); 22.ii.2004, 1 male, 03/TN/16/009 (MNHN- EO-ENSIF3692), 1 male, 03/TN/15/008 (INBio); 20.ii.2004, 1 male, 03/RG/ELP/002 (INBio).

Complement of description. In addition to the characters of the genus:

Male. Stridulatory file with at least 78 small, squared teeth, plus some irregular ones on the outer side of the file.

Male genitalia. Very similar to those of N. polita, but ventral sclerite of pseudepiphallic parameres as an acute triangle (rounded in N. polita).

Female. Ovipositor shorter than FIII (7.5–8.5mm, after Otte, 2006).

Female genitalia. Unknown.
