5. Psorophora cingulata (Fabricius, 1805: 36) (A; Culex).

Lectotype M: Cayenne, [ Island of Cayenne], French Guiana (ZMC *); coll. J. Rohr; date note provided.

The type locality of Ps. cingulata, originally America meridionali, was restricted to Cayenne by Belkin et al. (1965: 41). The lectotype was designated by Belkin (1968: 26) and the single paralectotype is also deposited in the ZMC.
