Lectotype M: Cayenne, [ Island of Cayenne], French Guiana (ZMC *); coll. J. Rohr; date not provided.

The type locality of Ps. cilipes, originally America meridionali, was restricted to Cayenne by Belkin et al. (1965:

41). The lectotype was designated by Belkin (1968: 26) and the single paralectotype is also deposited in the ZMC.
