Description of Microbacterium oxydans WR-M1Y

Cells are Gram-staining-positive, non-flagellated and rodshaped. Colonies are circular, convex, glistening and orange/yellow-colored after 3 days on MA at 25℃. Positive reactions are obtained for esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase and β-galactosidase in API 20NE, and negative reactions are obtained for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase and urease. Dglucose, Dmannose, Dmannitol, Dmaltose and potassium gluconate are utilized. Does not utilize Larabinose, N acetylglucosamine, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid. Strain WRM1Y (= NIBRBA0000113997) was isolated from a soil sample in field of reeds, Wando, Korea.
