Original rank: species. Current rank and status: questionable synonym of S. viridis (Kraepelin 1903); listed as an unrecognizable species by Attems (1930).

Remarks: Scolopendra microcanthus was omitted by Bücherl (1942 a, 1974) and Shelley (2002).
