Prionopelta opaca Emery ^HNS 1897.

Forel described Prionopelta mocsaryi ^HNS from “ Asunción, Paraguay.” Brown (in Wilson 1958) concluded that this was a misplaced locality and synonymized P. mocsaryi ^HNS with the asian species P. opaca ^HNS, with which it is nearly identical.
