Loricophrya bosporica Sergeeva and Dovgalı 2016

Individuals of Desmoscolex minutus Claparèdeı 1863 were infected with Lorycophrya bosporica suctorians from Istanbul Strait’ s areaı Bosporus regionı the Black Sea (Sergeeva and Dovgal 2016). Loricophrya bosporica was also found on Metachromadoroides remanei (Gerlachı 1951) from the Ria Formosa lagoonı Southern Portugal (Ivanova et al. 2017).

Remarks

L. bosporica was found both in the anoxic zone of the Black Sea and in methane seeps; hence it might be characterised as extremophile.
