Mediterranean sub-region (Morocco, Algeria, Canary Islands, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Maltese Islands, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Israel, Jordan); widespread in the Afrotropical Region, including Madagascar and St. Helena; Hawaii, Bermuda; Australasian-Oceanian (Australia, Queensland); Nearctic (USA (California as introduction).
