Distribution: Cuba, Jamaica, Bahamas, and Cayman Isls.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Does not include bombifrons; see Varona (1974), Hall (1981), and Koopman (1993). Reviewed by Baker et al. (1978), but note that they included bombifrons in this taxon. Reviewed by Timm and Genoways (2003).
