Material examined. Nha Phu Bay, about 30 specimens.
Abundance. Common.
Measurements. Up to 46.6 mm (Reid 2014).
Ecological notes. Development with planktotrophic stage of 12 to 20 days (Reid 2014).
Lives on firm or sandy mud and stones of tidal flats, in the open or under mangroves; often at river mouths and in tidal creeks; among salt-tolerant grasses and Phragmites reeds behind mud flats; sometimes on trunks of mangroves including Kandelia and Rhizophora (Reid 2014) .
In studied sites it was found on sediment surface between mangrove trees as well as on sand banks of streams.
Relation to mangroves. Predominantly mangrove-associated.
Distribution in Vietnam. Northern-east coast, central coast (Reid 2014).
General distribution. From south Japan to Vietnam (Reid 2014).
