Material examined. Nha Phu Bay, Dam Bay, natural mangroves, 5 specimens.

Abundance. Uncommon.

Measurements. Up to 32 mm (Reid 1986).

Ecological notes. Ovoviviparous species (Reid 1986).

An oceanic species. Typically on trunks and roots throughout Rhizophora forest, occasionally on other trees, 0.3– 2 m above the ground. Rather common on sheltered rocks (Reid 1986).

In studied sites it was found on trunks and roots of mature Rhizophora trees.

Relation to mangroves. Predominantly mangrove-associated.

Distribution in Vietnam. Central coast.

General distribution. Throughout the tropical and subtropical Indo-Pacific (Reid 1986).
