Material examined. Petro-UFS—1 M; CW = 9.48; CZUFS CRU- 00111. Penaeid—6 (3 M, 2 F, 1 OF); size range: 2.6 ≤ CW ≤ 10.34 mm; average: CW = 6.97 ± 2.61 mm; CZUFS CRU- 00236.
Stations. Petro-UFS—5; Penaeid—3 and 9.
Distribution. Western Atlantic—USA (North Carolina, Florida and Gulf of Mexico) and Brazil (from Rio Grande do Norte to Rio de Janeiro) (Melo 1996; Ferreira & Sankarankutty 2002; Almeida et al. 2007 a).
Ecological notes. From shallow waters to 90 m. On coral, rocks, hydroids, and oysters (Melo 1996).
Remarks. In the present study, M. calcarata was in association with the Bryozoa Reteporella sp. (family Phidolopodidae).
